Landscape Painting, Wednesday Evening 6-8 pm (4 class series) November 6th-November 27th

Landscape Painting- beginning to intermediate. Create expressive and compelling landscape paintings. Develop advanced skills in color, light, form, brush strokes, texture and composition. The teacher will instruct students as a group and will also work with students individually to help develop their own language and unique skills in oils or acrylics. Demonstrations will be given. Group critiques will be offered at the end of class. There will be opportunities to show class work in the gallery as your skills advance. "Plein Air"/Outdoor painting when weather permits.
Beginning Watercolors Tuesday, November 5th - November 26th 6-8 pm (4 class series)

This watercolor class focuses on basic skills and techniques. This class is designed for new students and students with some experience. Students will become familiar with watercolor paint techniques , color mixing, and basic brush works. Individual instruction will be given to all students as well as group demonstrations, in a relaxed environment. Students will create simple still life and landscape paintings. Subject matter will include flowers, plants, natural forms, still life.

Experimental Sculpture - 3 Sessions November 5th, 12th, and 19th, 2:00-4:00

Beginning to Intermediate, the instructor will work with each individual on their own level. Learn about form, color and composition and explore unconventional materials and techniques. Instructor, Katie Levesque will demonstrate and teach using a variety of mediums including oil paint, clays, polymers, and fabric.
Ms Levesque received her undergraduate degree at University of New Haven, Lyme Academy, College of Fine Arts and her MFA from Syracuse University
